Neighbourhood Notes:
Huron Heights is a large neighbourhood with many schools, parks and shopping areas. Schools in Huron Heights, include: Ste-Jeanne-d'Arc French first language, Chippewa, Evelyn Harrison, and St Anne elementary schools, John Paul II and Montcalm secondary schools, as well as Fanshawe College. The Robarts School for the Deaf is also located within Huron Heights. This school was established in 1973 and is one of only four provincial schools for deaf students in Ontario. The Beacock Branch Library and LUSO Community Services are located near Huron Heights and serve the community. The Stronach Community Recreation Centre is a hub for the neighbourhood, with two ice surfaces, an outdoor pool and splash pad, a gymnasium, meeting space, baseball diamonds and a skateboard park. The North London Optimist Community Centre, located on Cheapside just east of Highbury, provides indoor gymnasium and community centre space, indoor squash and tennis courts, rollerskating and outdoor tennis facilities. There are also many smaller parks in the area for residents to enjoy, including Cayuga Park, Huronview Park, Pawnee Park, and Farnsborough Park.
