Kerrisdale presents house buyers with several alternative means of transportation. Most houses for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are well-suited for walking; many common errands can be run without the use of a car. Bicycling is also easy in Kerrisdale since the cycling network is reasonably comprehensive. This neighbourhood benefits from a fairly good public transit infrastructure. There are a few bus lines, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. Kerrisdale is also reasonably car friendly. Parking is quite easy.

It is a rather short walk to get to schools and daycares from most homes for sale in this neighbourhood. There are highly ranked primary and secondary schools, including Crofton House, in Kerrisdale. The character of Kerrisdale is exemplified by its calm environment. This neighbourhood is very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, it is very easy to get to green spaces since there are a few of them nearby for residents to check out.
